About Natalie

A Home From Home is a professional dog boarding service established for over 5 years, where your dog benefits from a comfortable secure environment whilst you're away. You can have peace of mind, knowing your dog is being well looked after in a loving, dog-friendly family environment.

Enjoy your holidays and events whether it be a long break, an overnight stay or just a day's shopping, with the confidence that your dog or dogs are probably having a better time than you! We can even take in dogs at short notice.

As a family of avid dog lovers we enjoy the company of "man's best friend" and we feel they bring a sense of well being to people's lives. Our family dog is a Border Collie (above) who is good natured and welcoming to other dogs.

" Ollie (our first dog boarder) was the inspiration for me to set up A Home from Home. I was asked by my friend, Ollie's owner, to look after him while they were on holiday, as they know I'm a loving pet owner. Knowing how distressing it is to put your dog in a kennel, I set up A Home from Home." Natalie

We believe that exercise, interaction, socialising as well as love and attention makes for a happy dog.

Strictly no kennels.

"A Home from Home"
Our family home is located in Wilsden, West Yorkshire, close to the beautiful walks of the Bronte country and surrounding areas, perfect for the regular walks your dog will enjoy.

I collected my boy this morning from Natalie who when I asked if Billy had been good rolled her eyes and said he growled at her dog!! And that he had had to stay on his own for 11 nights which quite upset me... This has surprised me that Billy apparently growled at her dog as he has stayed with people with dogs before and been perfect as he is very very dog friendly and also goes out walking with a pack!!! And plays with any dog he comes in contact with. What concerns me is that she should of introduced the dogs before Billy went I never ever saw her dog. Also everytime I rang or texted her there was no reply and i never got no photos. She said he wouldn't be able to go again and believe me I wouldn't let him go. He is like my child and this has upset me today

The safety of the boarders in my care comes first and although I understand you are surprised and upset, that doesn’t change that fact that I needed to inform you of your dog’s behaviour. It’s always important that the owner is fully aware of all their dogs action's good and bad when they are not around, so they can further understand their dog. The care and happiness of the dogs in my home are of the utmost importance and will always come first even before the owner’s potential embarrassment that their dog did not get on with others. In response to a few other points you made: I am not the ‘roll your eyes' type. Your dog was not on his own for 11 nights, he of course had lots of family interaction and I did respond to your communications in a timely manner. Although this is the first negative feedback I have received after the 6 years and 100s of dogs that have been in my care, genuine feedback is also welcome even though my loyal client base may disagree. Thanks, Natalie
