About Kath

I love dogs (in fact all animals) and have owned dogs, horses, rabbits and hamsters, and walked dogs since I was a child. I offer a friendly family home with 90ft garden, for dogs to board. I love to walk the dogs in the park or on the South Downs, which is accessible from my back gate. It's a well known fact today that exercise is a key ingredient in the health and balance of a dog. So if you are busy, or going on holiday, or don't get chance to give your dogs a really great walk in the open countryside, then I can give your dogs that pleasure of long, fun walks and a home from home. Obedience and affection are two more ingredients to a healthy and balanced dog. I enjoyed training my own dogs so much that I progressed to become an assistant dog trainer. I am familiar with handling different dog breeds whether pedigree or mixed breed (including rescue dogs). I have bred my own dogs. I am dog first aid trained and fully insured. This is my only employment, so your dog is guaranteed my attention and affection the whole time. I only board 1/2 dogs from a single owner at any one time, and I only walk (up to) 4 dogs, so that I can give them my full attention.

Peggy, our cocker spaniel, had a great first stay with Kath and her family. Kath sent me regular updates, and was really helpful and flexible with arrangements. Peggy clearly had a fun and happy time - thanks so much, she'd love to come back another time for a holiday!

Nelly, our Labradoodle, had a great time with Kath and her family. Kath was very accommodating, letting us drop Nelly off early and pick her up late. She also let us visit beforehand and we saw how happy Nelly was playing in Kath's big garden with her two dogs. Kath was also very good at keeping us updated with how Nelly was getting on so we didn't worry at all. We will definitely be using Kath again and would highly recommend her.

Our 11 month old Cockapoo puppy Shaun had a great time when we were away on holiday last week. With it being the first time we had left Shaun for more than a few hours at a time we were a bit nervous about leaving him for a week - but Kath, her lovely family and her super friendly labs made both us and Shaun feel right at home. He especially enjoyed exploring their large garden. It was easy to keep in contact with Kath whilst we were away, and she gave us regular updates on how Shaun was doing. It was also really easy to change the day we picked Shaun up, as we got back later than we thought we would. We will definitely be using Kath again, I don’t think Shaun can wait to go back!
