First and foremost I am a dog lover!
I am passionate about the natural world and have been a dog trainer for the past 28 years, working for a Kent club as well as carrying out 1:1 work with behavioural issues. I am a member of the Kennel Club Accredited Instructors Scheme working towards accreditation and, as such, I train using only positive reward-based methods. My studies in canine/human interactions help me to read subtle canine signals and I always ensure that the dog's messages are respected.
I previously trained my own and other people's dogs for TV advertising work and competed in Obedience and Agility Competitions. I now compete in Talking Dogs Rally Obedience with my own dog as well as judging the sport across the country.
My own dogs are a really important part of my life and I currently share my home with a sociable Chihuahua, Belle and a rescue Boxer, Bodhi. My friend's crossbreed, Kelso, also spends a lot of time with me as I train him for Rally.
I like nothing better than walking and am comfortable and confident with all breeds of dog. I am a reliable and trustworthy person and I ensure that dogs have a fun walk with me which will tire them both mentally and physically. I will never walk more than 2 dogs at the same time in order to ensure that adequate attention is paid to individuals.
