About Amy

When I was 6, I wrote a petition to my parents arguing why I should be able to have a dog. They listened to me and got a dog ...once I had moved out many years later. Childhood heartbreak aside, I have always loved the companionship of dogs and the joy they bring to myself and others. For example, my father's dog is a retired greyhound, and I have seen first hand how having Brutus has helped my father adjust to being newly-widowed.To walk a dog in nature, to allow it time to be healthy and socialise in the fresh air, is truly a privilege. I work part time at Lush, an animal friendly cosmetics company, and am frequently involved in the company's campaigns to end cruelty to dogs. I have no problem doing long walks or short walks (I'm training for a half-marathon so all exercise counts). I've walked little Jack Russells who want to bark at everything they see, mad poodles who want to escape, a gentle-giant Irish Wolfhound with OCD - my love for dogs has no predjudice. And picking up poo does not phase me! Let me know if I would be a good match for your beloved fur baby.
