About Tasha

I have 10 years’ experience as a qualified dog groomer with NVQ’s in Animal Care and dog grooming. As part of my job role and career I have a lot of experience around animal’s behaviours and psychology so know how to deal with all types of situations from shy dogs to aggressive dogs.

I have 2 dogs of my own that are dog friendly and are used to having different types and breeds of dogs in the home. Any dogs I look after are walked at least twice a day, should any dog need or be used to more walk than that then I cater to the dogs need. My one dog has had a few medical issues in the past so I am also used to dealing with dogs with all sorts of needs and am able to cater to all needs.
I live in a 3 bedroom house with garden,i live by park.

Rudy had an excellent time staying with Tasha over the Christmas period, even sending me pictures and videos of their walks. Tasha made you feel at ease with your dogs little quirks due to her experience with all dog breeds. As well as doing a great job of looking after your dog, she was also extremely flexible with picking up times, which helps when you’re away. Would 100% use again!

Oscar is a 4 months old puppy. The other pet sitters that have had Oscar before have never complained and love having him with them but unfortunately they were busy this time so I gave Tasha a go. I took him to stay with Tasha for the first time, for the weekend and about 6 hours after I dropped him off I received a message from Tasha asking me to pick him up. The reason she gave me was that he was jumping on the other dogs and they wanted to sleep (which I believe is normal for a puppy to do as he just wants to play) and because of this he was locked in some room and consequently he barked and cried. A Fox Terrier hates to be locked in, they hate shut doors and to be left alone. If I wanted to leave my puppy alone in a room, crying away and sad I would have left him at home alone and not taken him to a pet sitter. I mean if you are a pet sitter you should know how to handle a puppy / dog. I had arrangements for the weekend and because Tasha couldn’t handle a 4 month old Fox Terrier I had to pick him up in the afternoon. So if your dog is full of energy I wouldn’t recommend taking him to stay with Tasha, on the other hand, if your dog just wants to sleep all day and doesn’t like playing, Tasha could be very good.

I put Oscar in a separate room with a stair gate up,I didn’t not shut the door, the reason I had you collect him was it’s not fair on my dogs one who is 11yrs and has spinal issues waiting for surgery, and my other 15 yrs old with kidney and heart conditions they don’t need to be constantly jumped on by a puppy.I do not want a dog to sleep all day I want the dog to leave my dogs alone to rest,it’s their home they come first so if they are not happy unfortunately I will have no choice but to ask the dog staying to be collected.
