About Andy

We would be more than happy to host your dog whilst you are away on summer holiday, off for a long weekend break, having day out, or maybe having to work long and inconvenient hours.

•Your pet will have a holiday of their own

•No kennel cages, just lots of family fun

•You can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is in good hands

Spring arrived with a burst of warm weather for the weekend but easter disappointed. But never mind we are now walking the dogs through fresh green fields and as the foliage appears on the trees the Bluebells are in full bloom. Longer day lengths mean longer walks although this recent rain can mean a rub down with a dry the towel when we get home.

We can accommodate active dogs who like long walks or maybe you have a quieter dog who is less active but likes lots of attention. We will also happily host your puppy from 16 weeks of age. Your dog will sleep in the house and will be welcome to sit in with the family during the day.

We have a large house set in mature woodland which is an excellent situation for dogs. We've had dogs here at our house for nearly 30 years. When requested we foster dogs for national and local charities whilst they are awaiting permanent homes and when we are not doing this we host dogs (and cats) whilst there owners are on holiday. Of course your dog must be fully vaccinated before we can host and following the recent change in the law all dogs must now be chipped.

We do except bookings at short notice but earlier you book the more likely we are to be able to host your dog.

A portion of hosting income goes to help a national animal support charity.

Myself and my wife went away for a week and left our 22 month old chocolate Labrador, Baxter, with Andy. Andy gave us daily updates of walks via the Dog buddy app, how long they were, and the occasional picture, which we found immensely reassuring. Upon our return we could see that Baxter had been incredibly well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Andy to any fellow dog owners as he has a wealth of experience and knowledge with dogs and bespoke attention to detail.

Thanks Steve It can be difficult leaving your dog with a new host for the first time. We encourage owners to do as you did and come and visit us before the first hosting so that they can see that we make every dog as welcome as if it was our own. Baxter was a pretty chilled out and loved the company of other dogs. And yes the Walkies updates are great, easy to use with just a couple of clicks at the start and end of the walk. Very helpful for a dogs owner and my daily records.

One of our regular dogs and one the best we host. A very smart and loveable dog. Looking forward to hosting him again in September.

Thank you for taking such good care of Harvey. The photos and messages were great and we looked forward to hearing how he was getting on. Wonderful surroundings for walking. Would definitely recommend and use again. We picked up a happy dog! Thanks so much.

Harvey was just such a nice dog. A big bark but a very sociable nature. Harvey you are welcome back anytime.
