About Rachel

Welcome to Happy Paws Pet Sitting Service 'a home from home ' .My name is Rachel I live in Chester-le-Street with my husband Andy, 3 children and our beloved beagle Olgar .We are besotted dog lovers and started Happy Paws Pet Sitting when we were looking for somewhere to place Olgar when we went on holiday but couldn't bear to put her in kennels. Quite literally we believed our dog was too precious to be put in kennels. Instead we arranged for a friend to look after her in their own home so she could receive the same creature comforts and loving care that she was used to. We now offer that same service to other dog owners.
Be reassured that your dog will receive lots of love and care , tailored to yours and there requirements whilst in our home. We live in a 4 bedroomed town house with an enclosed garden in a rural area with instant access to woodland and Waldridge fells for walks. Olgar is a very easy going dog who loves to be in the company of others on walks, she is playful and not dominant when it comes to sharing toys. Your dog can be walked with Olgar or if you prefer alone. The service is flexible and collection/drop off can be arranged.
I have a lifetimes experience of caring for and owning dogs and for the past 20 years we have kept Beagles but love and welcome all dogs. Please get in touch if you have any questions or issues you would like to talk about.

Jasper had a fantastic time, he really enjoyed playing with Olgar. And Rachel and her family were really friendly, Jasper settled straight away. Rachel was great at answering any questions we had, and in keeping us up to date with how Jasper was throughout his stay, with a couple of pictures, so we felt very reassured. We've already requested another visit for him. Thanks to the whole family!

Fantastic and will be booking again! We were delighted with the level of care Rachel and her family gave to our pup! From the off we were put at ease and confident we would be leaving Rupert in good hands. I can not thank you enough for the expetional level of care, love and attention you gave to our boy. Rupert is expetionally high maintenance and you went above and beyond with the grooming are care which we are so so thankful for. I cannot recommend Rachel enough. Thank you for looking after our boy as though he was your own. Your updates throughout the week really put a smile on our face and seeing how much fun he was having made us so happy. Thanks again!! Rafaela

Charlie went for an overnight visit to see if he would be ok ready for our summer holidays in July. We were worried because he's always been anxious and unsettled at night. Rachel was extremely helpful and kept us updated on how he was throughout his visit, including photos. Charlie had a great time. We will definitely be booking for our summer holiday. Thanks for being such a great carer 😊🐶
