Pet & Care

Kirsten G

About Kirsten G

I love dogs and it's fortunately reciprocal too. It's been like that since I was brought up with German Shepherds as a child.

But presently I live without a garden, so caring for a dog would include a lot of walks, and tie me down, so I thought: That'll be the problem others have too! How about I help them out and I get my love for dogs covered in the process? Et voila - Pet & Care was set up here on My Dog Buddy.

I do some training and grooming, but only what is natural in the day to day care.

Available to view: membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme and diploma from work with Pet Care Network.
Small flat, so every walk is a proper walk in surrounding parks and area. Inside the flat your pet will be given lots of attention when its ready. Some dogs are a little confused about why they are removed from their home at first, so I keep a quiet home and sit on the floor until it is ready to come say hi. It seems to work well.
A day in the client's home is 8 hours and above. Because of travel, shorter stays of up to 4 hours will be charged at half the rate and 4-8 hours at full rate. A full day include a couple of 20 mins walks. Adding a one hour walk adds £10 daily.

A day in my home is minimum 4 hours and up to 8 hours and depending on work of client etc. a quote will be created to suit both the client/dog and Pet & Care's need. Includes a walk of 20 minutes per 4 hours. If a full hour walk is required, it's £10 Extra.

24 stays include 3x20 minute walks. If you wish another one hour walk can be added at £10 for each walk each 24 hour stay. If this is to be in clients' home, we'll discuss travel.

NB I only do care and boarding on holidays for known clients.

Kirsten looked after my very timid dog and brought her 'out of her shell'. I received daily updates from Kirsten on Brenna, including pictures, and found that very reassuring. Kirsten was really very flexible and looked after the house at the same time. I will hire Kirsten again if need be

Kirsten looked after my two dogs for the weekend and I cannot recommend her highly enough! She is reliable and trustworthy and my dogs clearly enjoyed their time with her. She was flexible to my requirements and was happy to administer various medications. Thrilled with the service she provided and would entrust my dogs to her again in a heartbeat.

Saffy has been looked after by Kirsten many times now, and I am very happy to continue the arrangement. Kirsten is very flexible; she is also very quick and responsive when it comes to queries about possible (and changing) arrangements. Reliability is very important when doing something depends on your dog being looked after by someone else, and Kirsten is excellent in this respect.

Saffy is now known around the world :) She's such a character she gets in on video chats. Always good fun. Looking forward to next time :)
