About Jonna

Hello!

I am a semi-retired 27 year old business owner. I am originally from Finland where I grew up with a dog and a cat. I love animals and miss having them here in London.

I have been looking after pets for a while now. I have looked after rescue dogs and am happy to look after animals with disabilities and special needs. I have looked after cats, fish and a parrot as well.

I am very sporty and go running in Hyde Park every day, and would love to run with your dog if you have a big one! I work from home so would keep your dog company during the day.

I can look after your dog(s) in my flat, but prefer to come to stay in your home as this flat is really not build for dogs and there is no garden. Its nice for the dogs to be in their own home too :)

Jonna is a delight. We had complete confidence that she would care for Popcorn well, and delivery and pickup were trouble free. Highly recommended.

She took care of our dog very well while we went for 7 days holidays. She is a real dog lover:) She send us our dog's update with photos. It was so nice as we could see that our dog was spending happy time while we were away. We'll definitely repeat her service! Thanks again, Jonna!

This was the worse possible experience. First, the wrong sitter was paid £20 Then this booking was a booking from hell. Last minute sitter needed, so in a panic chose this sitter based on reviews. I advise needed from 1-4pm Due to traffic and my puppy being sick in car , we were late by an hour. I kept updating this sitter and she advised she had to take the other 4 dogs in her care for a walk. I said to take the dogs for a walk and would meet her outside her building. After dropping off my puppy, I had to attend a work meeting. This sitter constantly called and texted as payment went to another sitter. I paid this sitter and advised I am running late and she could charge me another £16. She went absolutely crazy on me on the phone and called me names as very rude obscenities and my sister had to talk to her. She told my sister I am crazy and threatened to call the animal welfare for my neglect of an animal as well as the police. She was advised by text I would leave and by 5.30pm and was stuck in taxi. She proceed to call and text and said she is calling the police and my puppy will be sent to a shelter if I was not there by 6pm Called at 6.04pm to get explain and she went berserk calling me names again. She then said unless I give her £75 in cash as the late penalty as she would hold the dog hostage or it would be sent to the shelter. This was so disturbing and it was so stressful. I could not deal with it and asked friends to get there to pick up my puppy but they did not have the cash and were not close by. I had to deal with it and upon answering the door the sitter would not let me see my puppy unless she had the cash in hand. She claimed she had plans for the evening and had to cancel. With 4 other dogs in her care, she was going to leave them and go out for the evening??? This was extortion and no hint of passion for dog care but more for money. I have a long history with dogbuddy with my last dog Lola. Having just lost her, I am still in a distressed way and this sitter went out of her way to make this the most stressful, disturbing and most concerning in the future of dog care trust.

I am saddened to say this booking this not go to plan. The good news is that little Louis had a great day in my care! The problem is this owner. She was 1,5h late for drop off texting me shes "5 minutes away" during this period. With four other dogs this is highly disruptive to our routine. When she needed to pick up her dog she was in total 3h 40 minutes late. She did not sound like she was going to come and pick up little Louis so I explained to her that this is animal neglect and not acceptable. I would need to take Louis to the shelter if she does not collect him. She said that I live in a council estate and have no job therefore its ok for her to leave her dog for as long as she likes. She seems very thoroughly confused about the money. It sounds like she has paid the wrong sitter. I have not charged her £16. I missed theater this evening due to this so yes I made her pay the £75. (To answer her question, the other dogs are ok to be left alone but hers was a small puppy). She was abusive calling me "a f***ing idiot" and "coucil estate loser" amongst other things. She seemed thoroughly confused with no respect towards other peoples schedules. I am of course flexible with pick up times and if people are running late, but this woman has no respect or understanding that she actually has to pick up her dog from my care.
