Hi, I'm Laura. I have plenty of time, energy and love to devote to your dog. I grew up surrounded by dogs as my dad is a vet, which also means a handy 24hr helpline for any concerns. I am a 'dogaholic' and so my life and work is centred around them. I have 10 years' experience of professional walking and sitting with a variety of breeds and ages. I am also fascinated by dog psychology and want to make sure both dogs and humans are as happy as they can be, so I'm now training to qualify as a dog behaviourist. I have a lot of experience with rescue dogs and think there is no problem or fear that can't be solved with patience and love.
I have consistent five star references from dogsitting with other sites, which I can provide to you. I have travelled abroad to housesit pets in other countries and so have many doggy friends around the world. I've 'brought up' several puppies in London, socialising and training them. I often have dogs with medical needs and am confident in administering medication. I like to treat my dogs and have taken some on 'doggy holidays' to the beach or for 5 course doggy afternoon tea! (really - it's amazing). The feedback from all my clients (now friends) has been excellent and it is very important for me to keep it that way.
I think it's important to reassure you when you and your dog are apart, so I update owners with pictures and messages of what we're doing together. For day care dogs I have my own little kit of toys and treats at home, a fenced in garden and plenty of comfy chairs to snooze on. For walks I'm surrounded by amazing parks. There is nothing quite like the feeling of walking in one of London's beautiful green spaces with a dog by my side.
If you need a last minute sitter or walker I'm more than likely able to help. I promise to look after your dog as if it was my own. Just get in touch and I'm sure we can work something out that makes life easy for you and happy for your dog.
