About Helen

I have had dogs in my life, virtually all of it, as an owner or as `Auntie Helen' to many of my friend´s animals. I work from home on a part time basis, so can fit around your dog's needs, leaving you confident on the occasions you need to work or travel away, have an emergency to deal with, or just fancy a little break, without having your waggy friend fretting alone.

We live in an idyllic cottage in a rural setting with large gardens and surrounded by bridleways and fields; fabulous dog holiday country! We don't allow dogs to run riot, but we like them to feel secure, so if they are used to a cuddle on the sofa,we don't mind.

We do tend to take our visiting dogs everywhere with us unless they actually prefer to be given a bit of peace and quiet - its upto the owners to let us know their per's likes and dislikes.

There are no cats among our neighbours but there are lots of squirrels and birds to charge around after and they will encounter all manner of wild and domestic animals on our walks

Dogs must be properly house trained and able to obey basic commands.

My dog is very old and Helen was very understanding and friendly. I was nervous about leaving him with someone outside the family. She understood what he needed and looked after him very well. Thank you.

I am quite pleased with Barney's stay at Helen's, when my daughter picked him up he seemed quite happy.
