Been thinking alot, as to whether to leave this review but when having thought about whether we'd be happy using Brian again, we wouldn't be at all confident. Let me start by saying Brian is lovely. We appreciate that he really knows his dogs, and he was very accomodating. I accidently put the wrong date in on Dogbuddy when trying to book, but Brian said not to worry he'd take them at the date we meant to put anyway, which was appreciated. We visited with our greyhounds a week before and he assessed whether they would be fine to have stay on a walk with us, and leaving them with him for 2 hours. There were other dogs there too, but we didn't worry. His house is a little small for the amount of dogs that were there (as well as our two big greyhounds). He did get confused as to which dog was which - addressing our male as she alot, and getting their names mixed up. Assesment was fine and when it came to the date to drop them off, we did - as a new dog mum I was a little concerned and did try to explain everything but I was assured it would be okay. He said he would drop us some pictures etc, which was what sold him too us in the first place. We did not recieve any news or pictures about them - other than the time we asked and prompted to find out how they were getting on. When we picked them up, we were told our girl had poo'ed indoors and wee'd alot. Whilst she did poo downstairs at our home (unable to hold overnight at times), she had only once wee'd so we were a little surprised by this (we had supplied puppy pads just in case, and to be courteous, but these were not used). Our girl does generally let us know she needs to wee - she will pace alot, and trot to you then to the door etc. This may well have happened and due to the amount of dogs it went unnoticed - or she may not have done, and she may have wee'd due to stress or anxiety in a new situation (which we appreciate and apologized for if this was the chase). We were told our girl had also ate a loaf of mutigrain seeded loaf too on the first day - she should not have had access to this, so we were rather concerned. Brian's kitchen was very messy, and whilst we appreciate everyone (including ourselves) has unwashed pots about, having food this easy to access is concerning (especially considering if you have experience with similar dogs who are tall and can try to counter-surf when food is about). When we saw them to collect them, I could have sworn they were shut in the conservatory whilst he was out (he was just getting in at the time we arrived). He did say there had been issues with them trying to dominate a very small dog but if it was this bad that they needed shutting out, we'd have rather he spoke to us at the time, and we'd have collected them even if it meant leaving our break early! We noticed as well some nicks on our girls legs (again we appreciate that this does happen, greyhounds have thin skin) but they did seem rather raw, and they were not addressed by Brian - even if they had just happened that day, there should be some awareness over this? We are unaware as to how many dogs there were with them - we know there was at least another one boarding with them, but there were other dogs during the day too - we had no idea just how many there would be, and given that they were not 100% used to being socialised with other breeds, if we knew just how many there were to be, we would have had second thoughts... Finally a while after their boarding and our break, I recieved a call from Brian, and he told me I had not paid dog buddy (in a fairly passive aggressive way). I informed him I actually had paid dog buddy, but due to the dates changing, he would probably be paid by them on the dates when the booking was accidentally put in - the following month. I also reminded him I had actually told him multiple times that I couldn't change the booking date myself, this was something only he could do. To which he quite quickly said okay and bye (I cannot remember if he did apologise, he may have done), but the point stands this was not my fault. Also whilst the site says there is not a resident dog, he told us he owns a Galgo (that was at the time staying at his girlfriend's house), but we did meet it when we were leaving - it was in his car, but we have no idea how long it was in there for. This may have been a one off, and for his regulars, these may not be issues - but for us, they really speak volumes. We did not want to post on the offchance we had to use him again, but on rethinking, we wouldn't use him again, and we'd rather share our experience. Thank you.

Brian was the BEST dog sitter i could of wished for. I had never left Narla before, so was bit nervous however Brian made us feel at ease. He sent regular photos of Narla with the other dogs he was caring for and his attitude was so passionate and he had such knowledge. He defiantly was one of the best and i would recommend him to anyone. Narla seemed to enjoy herself too! Thanks again Brian! x
