I moved to Clanfield In January 2014, having spent two year's In Abu Dhabi. While there I quickly aquired a regular visiting dog collection, having dog's to stay while their owner's returned to the u.k. for visits. I had quite a learning curve as I lived In a 7th floor apartment!
I did not have a dog of my own when I moved to Clanfield, having lost my rescue Cocker Spaniel bitch a few month's before we left for Abu Dhabi, the main reason I was able to go.
I started working for a cleaning agency, and my dog sitting took off on the back of that, as people with dogs were pleased to learn I was more than happy to have their pets to stay at mine.
I combined working and dog sitting without any problems, but my life was about to change dramatically. On the 13th of June this year I received a phone call from my mother, who lives In South East Spain, asking If I could foster a small dog, who had arrived In the UK on his way to a new home In Guernsey. He was with a foster carer In Leatherhead, and the people he was on his way to had unfortunately due to health Issues had to withdraw their offer of a new home. The lady he was with was due to go on holiday only days later. So, on Thursday 16th Edwardo arrived! He Is a little bundle of fun, mischief and devilment! When he was found, he had a badly broken leg which the vet's decided had been left untreated for too long to be saved, so I had a 3 legged mixed breed, we think he Is a mix of Yorkshire Terrier, Westie and a bit of Pommeranian thrown In! He Is a delight, and although I walked him In the morning, came home at lunchtime for a quick wizz round the block, and a long walk again at the other end of the day, I know he would like more of me. I have recently had a pair of small dogs to stay for the weekend, and his now friend Freddie a Shitzu to stay for a week, and have decided as this Is something I love doing, even when the weather Is throwing its worst at us, this Is what I am going to concentrate on with Eddy.
