Our dog, Skorpan, was an integral part of our family for 16 years when I grew up in Sweden. She inspired me to read a lot about dog behaviour, as I wanted to understand her and communicate with her in the best way possible. She also taught me how to live more in the present moment and to really appreciate time outdoors.
A few years ago I even started studying part-time towards becoming a Dog Behaviourist, doing the 'Think Dog Certificate' course run by Sarah Whitehead. Unfortunately I never finished the course due to burn-out because of my high-pressure day job, which I have now left. Burn-out stops me doing a lot of work related things, but walking is really good for me and spending time with animals is also very supportive of my recovery. I do have the energy it takes to look after your dog well.
I live with my husband Sam, who also grew up with and loves dogs (you can see him in one of the photos above, playing with one of the dogs that's been boarding with us).
I'm at home most days and would love to welcome your dog to come spend the day (or stay longer). I love going for walks and always prefer to do it in the company of a dog. I've looked after dogs for friends and family and love having them around.
There are beautiful woodlands just across the street from our house (see last photo), there's also a small park nearby and I'm often available on short notice.
If the date or dates that you're looking for aren't free - do contact me anyway, as sometimes I can move things around to accommodate a longer stay or a last-minute booking.
