About Neal and Pauline

Neal and Pauline both work in a local school. We work different hours therefore our house is rarely empty. We have 4 children, the youngest is 7 and the eldest is 14.

We have been dog sitting for 2 years, looking after several different dogs from tiny dogs to huge dogs. Please look at our reviews from our happy doggie owners and dogs often come back for further care which is lovely as we miss them, when they leave us. Our children are familiar with dogs and enjoy helping us look after our VIP guests.

We would be willing to look after different types of dogs, if they are familiar and friendly with children. Your dog will be given lots of walks, cuddles and attention from all of us. The children enjoy throwing balls for the dog, if he/she enjoys playing fetch, or spending some quiet time stroking and cuddling.

We live a minute walk away from Verulamium Park, in St Albans. We are also close to River Ver, Clarence Park, Bernards Heath and Heartwood Forest (via car). We have a good-sized garden which is securely fenced and safe.

Due to the flexibility of our part-time jobs, there is always someone around, at our house and your dogs will not be left alone for extended periods of time (more than two hours). Your dog will be fed at times specified by you, with your own food and instructions. There will always be a bowl of fresh water in our house.

We are licensed by St Albans City and District Council for Home Dog Boarding. We prefer to look after one family of dogs at a time but occasionally for short stays, we will look after dogs from different families. Please specify clearly if you prefer your dog(s) not to mix with other dogs and we will ensure we can meet your wishes.

Prices for overnight boarding is for 24 hours of boarding. Daycare is for a maximum of 8 hours. If the stay is longer than these hours, a supplement will be charged at £1 per hour per dog. Dog walks start at £10 per dog - additional dogs/hours will be charged extra.

Neal, Pauline and their lovely children look after Millie as if she was their own dog. We have such comfort knowing that the whole family care and treat her with such affection. We received regular updates regarding her walks as well as sending photos of her, which we loved receiving. Delightful family who are committed to caring for your precious pooch. Highly recommend x

So much more than I expected, they said Max missed me the first night but he is missing them now. Got updates twice a day and photos, routes of his walks and a detailed analysis on collecting the dog stated what and when he ate, slept, woke up walked, everything. It was my first time leaving my dog behind in eight years, I don't know what I was worried about. Definitely recommend leaving your dogs with them..

Perfect ! We couldn't have asked for anything else. Twice a day we got an email with pictures of the dogs and a stat of time walked and distance covered. When we collected the dogs had a "school report" style detailed analysis of time woke up, time fed, if dogs ate all the food even if they had a nap. Far more than we could have expected. Thanks so much
