About Charlotte

I have cared for dogs from a german shepherds and bullmastiffs to chihuahuas and maltese terriers. Your dogs will be treated as members of the family, and will get plenty of attention, cuddles and walks. I have 3 local parks within walking distance, including an enclosed area where I can let dogs off-lead with their owner's permission. Sometimes we walk along the beach. I have a small back garden which dogs like to sunbathe in. When they first arrive for their stay, it doesn't take them long to find their way onto my large, comfortable settee! I understand that dogs miss their owners (and owners miss their dogs), so I usually try to walk a dog as soon as possible after being dropped off, as that takes their minds off it and gives them something to feel happy and excited about. On their return they are tired, and that helps them to settle down and relax.

I'm a licensed dog boarder. This means that I have been through an inspection and I follow written procedures to ensure the health, safety and welfare of your dog. It also means that I can't take more than 2 dogs at present, or puppies under 6 months of age. Male dogs must be neutered, females not in heat or due to come into heat during their stay. All dogs must be vaccinated at least 4 weeks prior to their stay, and I will need to see their vaccination certificates. It is illegal to board dogs without a license.

This was the 1st time I'd left my dog with anyone and was naturally cautious however no need to worry about anything. We met with our dogs before the reserved dates to make sure they would get on - which they did. Charlotte kept me fully updated during the days with texts and pics of what my dog was getting up to plus I also received walk app updates. I liked how Charlotte really wanted to know about my dogs normal day/walks/likes and dislikes and I would certainly use Charlotte again.

Teddy, has been well looked after and was very content when we collected him after a weekend visiting our son. He's a very old boy, with a few medical problems and he pines for me terribly. Charlotte tended to all of his needs and we won't hesitate to ask her again. Thanks Charlotte

Our Milo hit it off with Charlotte and her dog Bertha, we had a funeral to attend so had booked at short notice. Charlotte was wonderful and Milo, who takes a while to settle anywhere, looked completely at home with Bertha and Charlotte when we came back to collect him. I would recommend Charlotte and we have already added her details to our address book ready for if we ever need a pet sitter in Sunderland again.
