I have been lucky enough to have lived with dogs for the last 26 years, and I love being in their company. My gorgeous girl Immie had to say goodbye in January this year at the age of 16, and words cannot describe how much I miss her. I would absolutely love to take care of your beloved dog, for however long is needed, and give him or her all the love and care I can. Immie was my constant companion and best friend, and went everywhere with me. As I own my own company (publishing animal books), she came to work with me every day; before Immie, my two Westies - Hubble and Hattie - did the same. Our office is completely dog-friendly (we have another regular doggie member of staff; Maggie, who comes in every day), and ideally situated for lovely walks in open countryside. It's also safe, away from roads and traffic, in a quiet area of Poundbury, in Dorchester. Our offices are spacious and airy, and all of our staff love animals. Given the nature of the books we publish, many of our authors have animal companions, and usually bring their canine friends with them when they visit. Journeys to and from work provide an opportunity for walks in different locations. All transportation is carried out with the use of a dog seatbelt. I have a basic disclosure certificate (formerly CRB check).
At weekends I'm home, and enjoy spending time in the garden. There's also time for longer walks, if these are what's needed, and days out in my camper van to the beach or local woods. Of one thing you can be sure: wherever I am, your dog will be with me.
